El actor de ‘Birdman’, Michael Keaton, también quedó nominado en la categoría de Mejor Actor. Aquí con el director Alejandro G. Iñárritu durante el rodaje de la película que obtuvo nueve nominaciones.
LOS ANGELES — Con la cinta “Birdman” que obtuvo nueve nominaciones a los premios Óscar, los mexicanos Alejandro G. Iñárritu, Emmanuel Lubezky y Martín Hernández son fuertes candidatos para alzarse con la estatuilla.
Iñárritu, quien recientemente abrevió su primer apellido González por la G., fue postulado en la categoría de Mejor Director por su trabajo en Birdman, que también quedó nominada en el apartado de Mejor Cinta.
“Estoy muy contento por todo lo que ha sucedido con ‘Birdman’ porque se necesitó mucho valor para realizar esta película fuera de convencionalismos.
“Estas nominaciones reflejan el reconocimiento de nuestros colegas, así como de los miembros de la Academia. Estoy humildemente orgulloso y agradecido”, expresó el cineasta quien se encuentra filmando en Canadá junto a su amigo Lubezky la película “The Revenant”.
“Birdman” compite con las películas “The Grand Budapest Hotel”, que también tiene nueve nominaciones; con “American Sniper”, “Boyhood”, “The Imitation Game”, “Selma”, “The Theory of Everything” y “Whiplash”.
“El cinematógrafo Lubezky recibió la nominación al Óscar (Birdman) en la categoría de Mejor Fotografía, y se convirtió en el mexicano que más postulaciones ha recibido de la Academia. El año pasado salió victorioso con el galardón por “Gravity”.
“Estoy muy honrado de haber sido nominado, sobretodo por quedar entre los grandes cineastas que buscamos la estatuilla”, dijo. “En cierto modo esta película era un experimento que afortunadamente salió bien. Es muy emocionante ser reconocidos por nuestros compañeros. Y también me siento especialmente afortunado y agradecido de trabajar con Alejandro”.
Por su parte, Hernández compite en la categoría de Mejor Sonido.
Otro nominado que dijo sentirse agradecido fue el actor Bradley Cooper porque logró quedar en la terna de Mejor Actor por su trabajo en «American Sniper».
«Esto es un tributo a Chris Kyle, su familia y todos los hombres y mujeres que sacrifican sus vidas para servir a su país y sus familias. Es un privilegio y un honor representar a Chris y comparto esto con Sienna, Clint, Jason Hall y el resto del equipo tres SEAL de marina y todos los involucrados con la película».
