Giovanni Casa Captivates TikTok and Dreams of Hollywood

By: Patricia A. González-Portillo
(For over a month, Kiosko Magazine followed Gio’s live streams and TikToks and interviewed him exclusively to write this profile.)
His style is different. Giovanni “Gio” Casa sometimes doesn’t even speak — he simply smiles and locks eyes with the camera. But even in silence, thousands stay. Waiting to find out who he is.
“At times I put myself on mute, I let them talk among themselves to generate more comments and more mystery,” he said from his house in Madrid. “It’s part of the mystery…”
Short TikToks, Long Moments
Gio’s TikToks run 15 to 30 seconds. His live streams: up to eight hours.
Comments move so fast that they’re nearly impossible for him to read — between 7,000 and 10,000 comments per hour.

“Do you have a girlfriend?”, “Are you single?”, “Will you marry me?”, “I’m divorcing my husband.”
Gio just smiles.
“I have 267,000 girlfriends,” he says. “That makes me very happy.”

Gio connects with followers from different parts of the globe: Los Angeles, Mexico City, Manila, McAllen (Texas), Guatemala, El Salvador, Lima, Argentina, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Rome… He conquers them with ballads by Luis Miguel, José José, Marco Antonio Solís, Alejandro Fernández, Eros Ramazzotti, Chayanne, Alejandro Sanz and Laura Pausini, rancheras by Christian Nodal and Grupo Frontera, and urban music by Peso Pluma.
Background and Discipline
Behind the screen lies a solid track record. Born in Curitiba, southern Brazil, Gio studied both advertising and marketing, holds two MBAs, and runs his own TikTok marketing agency. He previously worked as a professional photographer on European cruise ships.
He turns 27 on April 2. An only child, he maintains a close relationship with his parents, who also live in Madrid.
Gio doesn’t live off social media. He says his earnings come from stocks, investments, crypto, and rental properties in Brazil.
He speaks seven languages — English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, and Romanian. The gym and sports are his passion: padel, high-performance cycling through the Guadalajara [Spain] countryside, and in winter, he learned snowboarding.
Image as Strategy
Gio is an old soul, reflected in the music he plays and his preppy style. His khaki pants and well-pressed pink shirt project a polished image. His dark hair, fair skin, honey-colored eyes with a dreamy gaze, and thick eyebrows complete an Italian look inherited from his paternal grandfather. His gaze retains a youthful innocence. He is 1.82 meters tall, nearly six feet.
He dresses as if he’s going to work. His studio, created specifically for his lives, is dimly lit with a colorful backdrop.
Nothing is by chance.
A framed Boba Fett poster; basketball icons—Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, LeBron James—; and a football, showing his passion for sports; and Venice, reflecting his love of travel. Flowers on the walls and in vases. The retro-modernist wallpaper and his khaki slippers reveal a style as eclectic as his music—and a maturity that contrasts with his age.
A Rubik’s Cube: the mystery that defines him.
“It’s a job,” Gio says. “Making TikToks every day isn’t easy — it takes effort and dedication.”
When asked about his skincare secret, he laughs: “Soap and water.”
Responsibility and Influence
Gio sleeps between five to six hours during the day to stay fresh for his midnight streams, which run from 12 a.m. to 6 or 7 a.m. in Madrid — 4 p.m. in the U.S. and Latin America. Fuel: up to three Monsters and plenty of water.
He records almost everything alone — sometimes with his father’s help.
“The equipment is expensive, but I’m trying to save as much as I can…”
Gio is modest, simple, but aware of the commitment to his audience — mostly women between 25 and 60. When he doesn’t go live, his followers notice.
“If I’m not there… my followers feel it… It’s their night show. It would be disrespectful for me not to show up.”
“When we’re here all night… women drop in while they’re cooking, waiting for their husbands to come home and for their kids to return… It’s a calm moment. Life is always moving from one place to another… There are songs that take us to another time.
Last week, in his TikTok story, Gio posted a photo lying next to his black dog. He told his ‘loves’ he needed to rest.
“I like to be in silence… to listen to the music,” he tells his followers, “to be close to the camera — it’s like I’m talking with you. I transmit peace.”
A friend from padel recently joked that he seems very devoted to the church because “you don’t say a bad word, you don’t argue, you don’t raise your voice… you never lose your patience…”
“My parents have taught me to be well-mannered,” Gio says.
Comments and Controversy
Just as praise pours in, so do comments meant to provoke him.
“Are you gay?” they ask. He responds calmly: “I’m straight and I love women.”
The most common: “Are you AI?”, “Do you use a filter?” — he denies it — and “You’re too beautiful to be real.”
“At first it was really annoying… but the big names on TikTok told me: ‘use that to your advantage.’ New people think you’re not real — because of the quality, your face, the camera… I use it as a strategy — I drink water, I talk… AI doesn’t drink water. It doesn’t go to the bathroom. It doesn’t get pimples.”
The compliments don’t stop: “What a beautiful creation of God.” along with the classics: “Are you single?” and “Marry me.”
Gio describes himself as conservative. He doesn’t like excessive makeup or overly revealing clothing.
“The more mysterious a woman is, the more value she has. Less is more.”
Marriage? Not for now — maybe around 35. He has said he is attracted to older women and once dated a woman in her 40s when he was younger.
Clear Goals and Future Plans
His goals are clear: to become a singer or an actor.
“People already know me… they ask what I do, I tell them I’m a TikToker. They say I’m a star, but I’m not. I want to build something solid… make good money… and step by step, things will happen. I know it takes time.”
The Immigrant and the Horizon: The United States
As an immigrant in Spain, where he has lived for eight years, Gio acknowledges the difficulty of adapting to a new country.
“The beginning is always harder… after a while you feel like you belong… you have to socialize, build real friendships…”
And Hollywood?
“I want to use TikTok to become a singer and actor… I don’t want to just be a TikToker — that’s too small. I have languages, international experience… my English is very good… but I need to become someone notable so they say: ‘we have to call this guy.’ That’s my goal.”
In just three months, Gio is already leaving his mark. Between 3,000 and 5,000 new followers join him every day.
“I’m attracted to the idea of living in the United States… for the opportunities. I’ll probably go [visit] next year.”
Good Night
Every night, as dawn breaks in Madrid, Gio says goodbye.
“Thank you, my hearts… for following me,” he says in his thick Brazilian accent. “Kisses, kisses my loves… I love you so much. Hasta mañana”…
